Access to Opportunities

We recognize the importance of establishing pathways to professional opportunities that will ensure a students' seamless transition into their careers. Our focus is on supporting high-achieving individuals from historically underserved communities nationwide. At AAMU, over 90% of students rely on financial aid, while nearly half don’t receive any financial support from family. Approximately 30% of all AAMU undergraduates are first-generation students, which makes the guidance & support they receive from our program a critical component to their success because we understand that access to opportunity extends far beyond a basic job posting.

Our program will arm students with professional resumes that will set them apart from other candidates, career coaching expertise, interview preparation, what to expect in the hiring process and best practices regarding post interview follow-up. More importantly, we will teach candidates how to evaluate a company job offer, salary evaluation insight, negotiation strategies, and more. Program capstone events:
